It depends on the selected equipment, starting demand and circuits included in the plan. Your system may support essentials, additional circuits or managed loads. “Whole-home” does not mean unlimited power or every appliance running at once.
Does backup power start automatically?
An automatic standby system detects a utility outage and starts and transfers power to the selected circuits. There is a brief interruption while the generator starts and the transfer completes. It is not an uninterrupted power supply.
What determines the installed price?
Generator and transfer-equipment selection, electrical condition, connection routes, site access, fuel work, pad or foundation, permits and inspections all affect the scope. We confirm your project’s price and applicable savings in writing. The $1,200 amount is a maximum discount, not an installation price.
What about fuel, placement and permits?
The assessment checks the selected equipment’s placement requirements, fuel availability and access. Our electrical work includes applicable electrical permitting and inspection. Fuel work, a pad, other permits or manufacturer startup may involve other providers; responsibilities are set out in the written scope.
How soon can it be installed?
Equipment, permits, site preparation and provider availability determine the schedule. An estimate request starts the conversation; it does not book an appointment or hold installation capacity.
Are installation estimates free?
Yes. Our existing free generator estimate policy covers installation planning. Repair visits have a $69 dispatch fee, waived for active members and credited toward completed work; repair work is quoted separately. Confirm your visit type and any applicable fees before an appointment is confirmed.
What maintenance and warranty should I expect?
Maintenance needs and applicable equipment coverage depend on the selected system. Ask the crew to explain manufacturer requirements, electrical workmanship coverage and any separate service responsibilities in your written estimate.
How does the monthly offer work?
Savings are up to $1,200. The maximum applies to qualifying 4-star-and-above whole-home backup solutions with equipment supplied by Live Wire, installed within our service area. The displayed date is the end of the current calendar month in Pacific time. The offer renews monthly; terms may change. Your written estimate confirms your exact savings and its own validity. Sending an inquiry does not reserve promotional eligibility.
