Do you handle the whole solar project or only the electrical connection?

Live Wire Electric handles complete solar projects from start to finish, including new systems, upgrades, repairs and associated electrical work. We define the equipment, site work, required approvals and project responsibilities in the written scope for your property.

Can you help with a system that is already installed?

Yes. Tell us about the equipment and the problem or improvement you have in mind. Records and monitoring screenshots can help us prepare. We assess the system and confirm the repair or upgrade scope, including compatible parts and any manufacturer-specific support it needs.

Will solar keep the lights on during a power outage?

An ordinary grid-connected array does not automatically provide backup power when the grid goes down. If that is your goal, we plan a system with the appropriate inverter, controls and storage or other supported backup arrangement. The backed-up loads and operating limits need to be part of the design.

Do solar upgrades need utility approval?

They can. For example, Snohomish County PUD includes solar expansions, system replacement and added batteries in its interconnection process. We confirm the requirements for your utility and address. Permission to construct, required inspections and permission to operate are separate steps where that utility process applies.
