Assess capacity and condition
Review existing service equipment, circuit space, accessible grounding and the proposed loads. A load assessment helps distinguish a true capacity constraint from a lack of breaker positions.
Lynnwood based. Locally connected.
Make room for your next heat pump, EV charger or home improvement with an electrical panel assessment. Live Wire Electric helps Lynnwood, Seattle and Eastside homeowners plan panel upgrades around the capacity and condition of the whole electrical service.

The right work. A clear plan.
A crowded panel, an aging enclosure and a shortage of available electrical capacity are different problems. A panel replacement, subpanel or utility-service upgrade may solve different parts of the picture. We start with the existing system and your intended loads rather than choosing an amperage from house size alone.
Tell us what you want to add now and what may come later. That makes it easier to compare the work needed today with sensible provisions for future equipment. A new panel does not automatically replace the branch wiring throughout the house.

Make the next step a good one.
Review existing service equipment, circuit space, accessible grounding and the proposed loads. A load assessment helps distinguish a true capacity constraint from a lack of breaker positions.
Compare panel replacement, added distribution and service changes where appropriate. Include equipment placement, access and the utility interface in the discussion.
Plan permit requirements, utility involvement, the power interruption and inspection milestones before the work is scheduled. Confirm which utility fees and restoration tasks are included.
Have the proposed equipment specifications available before ordering major appliances or a charger. A photo of the closed panel and its visible label can help start the conversation, but our final recommendation depends on an assessment. Discuss refrigerated food, remote work and other needs during the planned power interruption.
Clear expectations. Better decisions.
Panel type, service size, meter and service-conductor work, relocation, grounding, permits and utility coordination shape the estimate. Ask for a written comparison of the recommended scope. Our current panel offer, membership and financing information are available on the homepage; project eligibility is confirmed with the estimate.
Your written estimate should identify the equipment, electrical work, access, permits and any separate trades or finish restoration. Ask about anything you do not see included.

Seattle City Light has a separate process for new or altered electric service in its territory. Lynnwood and other Snohomish County properties must be assessed for their own utility and permit authority. We confirm the address and service arrangement before treating a panel change as a straightforward equipment swap.
Most electrical work requires a permit and inspection through the authority responsible for the address. We obtain the electrical permit for work we perform when required. Utility-service approval is a separate step when applicable. Washington electrical permit guidance ↗

Planning electrical panel upgrades? Start here, then talk with the crew about your home.
Call your local crewNo. The appropriate capacity follows a load assessment, your planned equipment and utility requirements. Square footage or the number of empty breaker spaces alone is not enough to make that decision.
No. The panel and the branch circuits are different parts of the system. Any circuit replacement or whole-home rewiring should be identified separately in the scope.
We discuss an outage plan once the installation and utility requirements are known. Inspection and utility scheduling can affect reconnection; there is no universal same-day promise for every project.
