Understand the control layout
Single-location, three-way and multi-location switching need different arrangements. We identify how the lights are intended to operate before changing devices.
Lynnwood based. Locally connected.
A switch should give you predictable control of your lighting. Live Wire Electric helps Lynnwood, Shoreline, Seattle and Eastside homeowners resolve faulty switches, confusing multi-location controls and dimmers that no longer work as expected.

Local people. Real accountability.

The right work. A clear plan.
A light that flickers or will not respond may have a switch fault, a fixture problem or incompatible controls. New LED lamps can also expose a mismatch with an existing dimmer. We consider the complete lighting circuit before choosing the repair.
Describe whether the problem happens at one switch or several, and whether bulbs, fixtures or smart controls were recently changed. A photo of the fixture label or the switch model can be useful when available without removing electrical covers. Buzzing, heat or a burning smell warrants a call and stopping use of the affected control.

Make the next step a good one.
Single-location, three-way and multi-location switching need different arrangements. We identify how the lights are intended to operate before changing devices.
The fixture, lamp, driver and dimmer must work together. For smart controls, available wiring and manufacturer requirements also matter.
The estimate identifies the device or wiring work recommended. After approved work, we explain the controls and any configuration that remains with a connected-home app.
Decide whether you want to restore the existing function or add dimming, timers or smart control. That choice affects the device and may change the wiring scope. Internet-dependent features are separate from a switch’s basic electrical operation.
Clear expectations. Better decisions.
The number of control locations, device type, box access and condition of the wiring determine the scope. Replacing a standard switch differs from diagnosing a multi-location dimming problem. We provide the recommended work and price before authorization.
Your written estimate should identify the equipment, electrical work, access, permits and any separate trades or finish restoration. Ask about anything you do not see included.
Rooted here. Ready to help.
In a Bellevue kitchen refresh or a Lynnwood hallway with switches at both ends, keeping the control layout practical matters as much as replacing the failed part. We work with the existing circuit and your chosen fixtures, not a one-device-fits-every-home approach.
Most electrical work requires a permit and inspection through the authority responsible for the address. We obtain the electrical permit for work we perform when required. Utility-service approval is a separate step when applicable. Washington electrical permit guidance ↗

Planning light switch repair? Start here, then talk with the crew about your home.
Call your local crewLamp and dimmer compatibility is one possibility, but not the only cause. We check the product combination and circuit before recommending a different lamp, control or wiring repair.
Often that is possible, but the existing wiring, box and chosen product must be suitable. Share the model you want so we can assess its requirements before installation.
Yes. Tell us how each switch behaves. We assess the multi-location arrangement and identify whether the control, wiring or fixture needs attention.
