Live Wire Electric
Local people. Real accountability.

The right work. A clear plan.
Hot-tub electrical requirements vary by equipment. The circuit, available service capacity, protection, disconnect location and bonding need to be considered as a complete installation. Water and electricity make this a project for qualified electrical work, not an extension-cord workaround.
The installation route matters too. A patio near the panel and a spa at the far side of the yard can require very different work. Confirm the final location and manufacturer documentation before the electrical scope is finalized.

Make the next step a good one.
Use the exact model documentation to establish the electrical supply requirements. Confirm the delivery location and accessible equipment connection.
Assess panel capacity, the wiring path, disconnect arrangement and applicable grounding and bonding needs. Outdoor routing and excavation are clarified separately.
Plan required permits and inspections, with responsibilities divided among the electrician, spa installer and any excavation or concrete provider.
Share the model specifications, site plan and delivery date early. Tell us about decks, fences, underground utilities and any planned landscaping. The electrical installation should be coordinated before filling or attempting to operate equipment that requires a permanent connection.
Clear expectations. Better decisions.
Circuit requirements, distance from the panel, available capacity, trenching, conduit routing and restoration can all affect the estimate. Spa delivery, placement, water connections and non-electrical construction are separate unless expressly included.
Your written estimate should identify the equipment, electrical work, access, permits and any separate trades or finish restoration. Ask about anything you do not see included.
Rooted here. Ready to help.
For an Edmonds backyard, a Lynnwood deck or a Seattle patio, the route and permitting authority follow the actual property. We do not apply one assumed circuit size or disconnect layout to every spa; the equipment and local requirements guide the plan.
Most electrical work requires a permit and inspection through the authority responsible for the address. We obtain the electrical permit for work we perform when required. Utility-service approval is a separate step when applicable. Washington electrical permit guidance ↗

Planning hot tub wiring? Start here, then talk with the crew about your home.
Call your local crewNo. The manufacturer’s documentation for the exact model is essential. Do not size a circuit from a general hot-tub description or a different model’s requirements.
That is usually useful for planning. A confirmed equipment location and model specifications allow the route, capacity and installation sequence to be assessed before the spa arrives.
Do not improvise a temporary connection. Follow the equipment’s instructions and have the required electrical installation completed and approved before use.
Keep the plan connected.
