Leviton Smart Load Center service · Live Wire Electric

Leviton panel installation that can grow with your home

You may need a better panel today and want smarter energy features later. Live Wire Electric helps you plan a Leviton load-center installation around both. We start with dependable electrical distribution, then talk through the monitoring and control options that would make life easier in your home.

Our licensed electricians help you choose a sensible starting point. You can compare conventional and smart-breaker arrangements, decide which circuits matter most and understand what additional equipment each feature needs before committing to the project.

Give your everyday electrical needs first priority

A panel project may begin with a remodel, new appliances or concerns about existing equipment. We review the present service, panel condition and circuits, then connect the work to the improvements you want. A reliable supply for the home comes before deciding how many features to put in an app.

We help distinguish panel replacement from a service-capacity increase. A new enclosure can improve condition or circuit organization while the utility supply stays at the same rating. If your plans need more capacity or a supported management solution, we explain those options as part of the assessment.

Choose the smart features you will actually use

You might want to understand a heating circuit’s energy use, keep an eye on garage charging or manage selected loads in a supported system. We help you identify those priorities and choose the equipment needed for them. Smart features do not have to be the same on every circuit.

A phased approach can begin with suitable electrical distribution and add supported monitoring or controls later. We explain what the first phase includes and what a later upgrade would require. That helps you budget around useful functions rather than buying every option before you know how you will use it.

Keep the breaker generations and connections clear

Leviton’s conventional breakers, first-generation smart breakers and second-generation smart breakers provide different capabilities. With the supported interface, Gen 2 equipment can provide remote on/off control; Gen 1 has different limits, including remote trip rather than remote turn-on. We identify the exact devices before promising a feature.

Communication equipment also matters. We review the required interface, measurements and account setup with the selected breakers. The panel enclosure alone does not supply every monitoring or control function, so your equipment list shows the parts needed for the result you want.

Bring backup plans into the design early

If your goal includes controlling loads during a winter outage, tell us what should keep running and what can wait. Heating controls, refrigeration and a home office can lead to a different priority list from everyday use. We review the complete backup arrangement, including the source, transfer equipment and supported Leviton interfaces. Circuit control can help manage available power; it does not create battery storage or generator output.

We also consider what will remain outside the controlled arrangement. Knowing which circuits behave differently during an outage is part of an understandable system. We confirm any specialist setup responsibilities before agreeing to a combined installation.

Make the installation and handoff manageable

We assess the location, wiring, access and work needed to transfer circuits. Your estimate explains the panel, breaker choices, monitoring equipment and related electrical corrections. Service changes, finish restoration and utility coordination can affect the price, so we discuss them alongside permits and interruption planning.

Live Wire serves homeowners in King and Snohomish counties. Share your appliance plans, photos of the closed panel and any backup-system records to begin. We plan clear labeling and the agreed setup and orientation so you can find the information you need, understand the controls and keep useful records for future work.

Common questions

Do I need smart breakers on every circuit?

We help you decide which circuits benefit from the features you want. A suitable mix and a phased upgrade may be practical. The exact panel, breaker generations and interface determine the available arrangement.

Can I add smart features after replacing the panel?

That can be part of the plan when the selected equipment supports it. We explain the future breaker and communication requirements now, so you know what the first installation prepares for and what remains a later project.

Will the new panel automatically provide backup power?

Backup needs a compatible source and complete system design. We can review your priorities with the panel work and explain the equipment and setup needed to make the selected circuits behave as intended.

How do I know what a Leviton installation estimate includes?

We identify the enclosure, breakers, interface, circuit work and agreed setup. We also discuss permits, access and any service corrections, making it easier to see what will be working when your project is complete.
