Product lifecycle note

Schneider lists the WISEREMZ reference as discontinued on June 2, 2026. This guide supports existing-system identification, service and an assessment of available monitoring options, not a promise of current new-stock availability.

Understand the system.

The details that shape
your project.

01

A monitor, not a new electrical service

The monitor installs at the panel to help report energy usage. It does not increase service capacity, replace a breaker panel or supply backup power. It can be worth considering when your first goal is understanding consumption rather than changing every part of the electrical system.

02

Monitoring and switching are different jobs

Seeing a load is not the same as remotely switching its circuit. Schneider describes circuit-level control with compatible Square D control relays and the required monitor; the monitor alone should not be sold as a complete circuit-control installation.

03

Identify the generation and accessories

Wiser and Schneider Energy Monitor naming appears across different product records. We use the model number, current installation documentation and supported app requirements when evaluating your equipment. Solar or additional-source metering may require a different kit or accessories.

Designed around your home.

The equipment is the start.
Here’s the rest of the plan.

Review panel access and compatibility

We assess the enclosure, available space and the proposed monitor installation without asking you to remove electrical covers.

Confirm the monitoring goal

Whole-home visibility, an additional energy source and circuit control are different scopes. We identify what equipment each goal actually needs.

Connect and explain the result

We include the agreed electrical installation and supported setup, then explain which information and controls the installed equipment provides.

Is Wiser Energy now called Schneider Energy Monitor?

Schneider’s current product family uses the Energy Monitor name and identifies Wiser Energy as the former name. Model identification still matters when arranging installation or support.

Will this lower my bill automatically?

A monitor provides information. Actual savings depend on how that information changes energy use, your rates and any separately configured controls; a fixed saving is not guaranteed.

Can it remotely turn off every circuit?

Not on its own. Circuit control requires supported additional hardware and an appropriate installation. We identify the desired circuits and compatible equipment before quoting that function.

Keep exploring.
