Understand the system.

The details that shape
your project.

01

Choose the connector first

Home Flex is offered with NACS and J1772 cable options. Start with the vehicle’s charge port, and think about the next vehicle or a second driver. The right connector is more useful than an adapter you have to hunt for every evening.

02

Hardwired or plug-in?

A hardwired installation supports settings up to 50A when the circuit is designed for it. Plug-in versions use NEMA 14-50 or 6-50 connections and support up to 40A charging. We review an existing outlet and circuit rather than assume a familiar-looking receptacle is ready for sustained EV charging.

03

Make the app fit your routine

The ChargePoint app brings home and public charging into one environment. A useful home schedule starts with your daily driving and applicable utility rate. We explain the installed current limit so you know what the charger and vehicle can actually deliver.

Designed around your home.

The equipment is the start.
Here’s the rest of the plan.

Vehicle and parking review

Share the vehicle model, year and typical parking position. We check the mounting spot and cable reach so the connection is convenient in everyday use.

Panel and route assessment

Available capacity, circuit length, wall access and outdoor conditions shape the work. We describe any panel changes separately in the quote.

Installation and setup

The agreed scope covers the electrical connection, mounting and checks, plus a walkthrough of the installed charging arrangement. We explain the charging setting and daily use before wrapping up.

A few good questions.

Let’s clear
things up.

Which version is best for a Tesla?

A NACS Home Flex is the direct-connector option to compare for a compatible Tesla. We confirm the actual vehicle and installation requirements.

Do I have to run Home Flex at its highest setting?

No. The setting must match the installed circuit and available capacity. A lower, correctly designed setting may meet your daily driving needs.

Can you use my existing 240-volt outlet?

We first inspect the circuit and receptacle. EV charging is a sustained load, and the outlet’s appearance alone does not establish that the installation is suitable.

What changes the installation quote?

The wiring route, available capacity, hardwired versus receptacle connection, mounting surface and any required electrical upgrades all affect the installed scope.

Keep exploring.
