201016 • generator + 200A switch

22 kW fleX system

A packaged home standby system with Champion’s fleX automatic transfer equipment. The generator is rated at 22 kW on propane and 19.8 kW on natural gas; the 200A switch rating is not the generator’s power output.

More to consider.

aXis 22 kW package

Model 201221 is a separate aXis-based generator and transfer-switch package. Do not mix its accessory assumptions with fleX.

Managed high-demand loads

Optional compatible load-management equipment can help a standby design prioritize larger appliances. We identify what is included in the proposed system.

Portable generator connections

Already own a portable Champion? Ask about a properly designed inlet and transfer solution. A portable-generator connection is a different project from an automatic standby installation.

The Live Wire part.

Good equipment.
Great attention to detail.

Your Champion Power Equipment project needs more than a product in a box. Here is how we bring the electrical work into focus.

Check the complete package

We identify the exact generator, switch and controls before planning the installation. A bundled switch still needs to match your service and intended connection.

Design around real operating loads

We review the essentials, larger motor loads and the difference between propane and natural-gas ratings, then compare sensible load-management choices.

Review the existing electrical setup

For a new installation or service request, panel condition, routing and transfer equipment are part of the conversation from the beginning.

A few good questions.

Let’s clear
things up.

Does the 200A switch make this a 200A generator?

No. A transfer switch is rated to carry a specified current; it does not increase the generator’s output. The backup load must fit the generator and load-management design.

Can fleX and aXis accessories be mixed?

Do not assume compatibility. We use the documentation for the exact generator, controller and transfer switch when choosing accessories.

Can I backfeed through a dryer outlet?

No. A generator must use a properly designed transfer or interlock arrangement and approved connection so it cannot energize utility lines. Ask us to review a dedicated inlet solution.

Good choices deserve a clear comparison.
