Explore the equipment

Choose the improvement before the hardware

Tell us what would make the space better: softer light in the living room, convenient control at a doorway or a schedule for the lights you use every evening. We review those goals room by room. A dimmer, an on/off switch and a complete smart-lighting setup serve different needs.

We also think about the people using the controls. Local wall operation should feel straightforward, with app features adding the convenience you want. A useful project can be modest in size when it solves a specific daily frustration.

Match the control to the wiring already there

Leviton’s D36HD Wi-Fi dimmer and D315S Wi-Fi switch require a neutral connection. DN6HD offers a no-neutral dimming option for a suitable installation and requires the MLWSB Wi-Fi Bridge. We inspect the actual wallbox and explain which equipment fits, including any corrective work.

An older home may have different wiring arrangements from one room to the next after years of renovations. We check the proposed locations individually instead of assuming one device will suit the entire house. Where a wiring improvement is the better choice, we explain how it compares with a supported retrofit.

Make the lighting comfortable, not just connected

The lamps or fixture drivers must suit the selected dimmer. We look at load type, the number of fixtures and the dimming range you want. If your current lighting flickers, buzzes or behaves unevenly, we assess that issue before recommending new controls.

For a room used through long winter evenings, the useful result may be bright task lighting that can settle to a comfortable lower level. We help you decide whether the existing fixtures can provide that range or whether a lighting change belongs in the project too.

Keep companions, setup and future changes clear

Lights operated from several locations need a supported arrangement of main controls and companions. We explain what each control point will do and which existing devices can remain. We also review the network and smart-home platform for the functions you want included.

If you have a D215S switch, Leviton marks that model discontinued and suggests D315S as its successor. We assess the installed load, wiring and companions before recommending replacement. A working older device does not need to be declared faulty simply because the catalog has changed.

The estimate reflects the controls, any bridge or companions, wiring corrections, lighting changes and agreed setup. We can help with a focused room improvement or coordinate several locations during a remodel. Leviton lighting controls and Leviton electrical panels are separate product categories; matching the panel brand is not a requirement for choosing the wall control.

Share your room list, fixture information and photos of existing controls with us to begin. We serve King and Snohomish counties and help you work through the choices without opening wallboxes yourself. We plan the handoff around local operation, the agreed smart features and records that will be useful when your home changes again.

Common questions

How do I choose between a Wi-Fi dimmer and the no-neutral option?

We inspect the wiring and lighting and discuss the features you want. D36HD needs a neutral; DN6HD uses its required MLWSB bridge. We explain the complete installation for each suitable choice.

Do I need a Leviton electrical panel for Leviton lighting controls?

No matching panel brand is required simply because you choose Leviton wall controls. We assess the circuit and lighting application. The load-center platform is a separate category with its own installation decisions.

Can you improve flickering lights while adding smart control?

We investigate the flicker and compare the lamp or driver with the selected dimmer. The repair may involve compatible lighting, a control change or electrical work. We include the appropriate solution in the discussion.

Should I replace a D215S that still works?

Discontinuation alone does not show a fault. If you want an upgrade or need a repair, we review the installed arrangement and explain the current D315S option and any related companion or setup changes.
