Leviton GFCI outlet repair for your kitchen, bath and outdoor spaces

A dead bathroom outlet can throw off the morning, and a kitchen GFCI that will not reset can interrupt more than one appliance. Live Wire Electric helps you find the source of the problem and restore useful power with the right protection in place.

Our licensed electricians serve King and Snohomish County homeowners with outlet diagnosis, Leviton SmartlockPro replacement and related wiring repairs. We make the process understandable, from the first symptom to the work you approve.

Our priority
Find the cause and retain the required protection

You do not have to find the failed part before calling

Tell us which outlets stopped working, even if they seem to be in unrelated rooms. One protective device can serve outlets elsewhere, so the place where you notice the problem may not be where it began. We trace the circuit relationship and check the incoming power.

A GFCI can refuse to reset because supply is missing, an installation issue is present or its internal test cannot pass. These conditions need different responses. Our crew checks the cause before recommending a receptacle, so you are not left with a new outlet and the same interruption.

Keep your protected spaces working for everyday life

Bathrooms, kitchens and garages all depend on practical outlet placement and appropriate protection. If a particular appliance seems to trigger the problem, mention it. We assess the connected equipment and circuit rather than assume the GFCI is being overly sensitive.

Leviton SmartlockPro devices use self-testing, status indicators and reset-lockout behavior. We interpret those features for the exact model in your home. You can simply tell us what you have seen; there is no need to study indicator charts or remove the receptacle to investigate.

An outdoor outlet needs a repair suited to the weather

Rainy days make a troublesome patio or porch outlet especially inconvenient. If your problem follows wet weather, we consider the device, box, cover and possible moisture entry together. A new outlet face alone will not correct an unsuitable enclosure.

GFTR and weather-resistant GFWT devices are different selections. Tamper resistance, weather resistance and electrical ratings also serve different purposes. Live Wire checks what your location requires, including the surrounding installation, so the repair supports how you actually use that space.

A clear repair plan for a safer, more useful home

If the receptacle has failed and the rest of the installation is suitable, replacement may be a focused job. If power is interrupted upstream or we find damaged wiring, we explain that work. The proposed repair should make sense of the symptoms you reported.

We discuss the price and any related corrections before you approve them, then check the affected outlets after the work. If you would also like a more convenient outlet location or power for a new appliance, tell us so we can explain that as a separate improvement.

Make the first call simple

Share the room or outdoor location, when the trouble started and what was in use. Existing photos or model information are helpful if you have them, but leave covers and wiring alone. Stop using a visibly damaged, arcing or overheated outlet and call for help.

Common questions

Does a SmartlockPro outlet that will not reset need replacement?

Not always. It may lack incoming power or be responding to another condition. We check the circuit and device before recommending a replacement.

Can one GFCI affect outlets in another room?

Yes, depending on the wiring arrangement. Tell us every location that lost power so we can identify the affected circuit.

Can you fix an outdoor outlet that trips after rain?

We can assess the outlet, enclosure and circuit and explain the cause we find. If moisture is entering, the repair needs to address that condition as well as any damaged device.

Do I need to buy a GFTR or GFWT before the visit?

No. We can confirm the location requirements and suitable model after assessing the installation, which helps avoid buying the wrong part.
