Let’s make the electrical problem easier to solve
You might notice trips when vacuuming, running office equipment or using lights after a renovation. These patterns help us investigate, but they do not make the breaker or appliance automatically guilty. We listen to what has changed and examine the circuit as a whole.
Our crew can assess the protective device, connections and wiring involved. If a new breaker is appropriate, we will explain why. If the issue is elsewhere, we will show how the proposed repair addresses it. You can make a decision with useful information instead of buying parts and hoping.
Protection that suits the room and the circuit
Homeline electronic breakers can provide arc-fault protection or combined arc-fault and ground-fault protection. Those are different functions, even when the devices look similar. We check which protection your circuit requires and keep it part of the repair.
A plug-on-neutral designation describes the way the breaker connects inside a compatible panel. It does not tell the whole safety story. Our electricians check both the supported connection and the required protection, so a similar suffix or product photograph does not drive the decision for your home.
We make older Homeline part numbers less confusing
Schneider identifies HOM120PAF as the replacement for discontinued HOM120PCAFI. The separate HOM120PDF dual-function device has HOM120PAFGF as its listed replacement. We keep those paths distinct because they preserve different protective functions.
A discontinued listing is not, by itself, an instruction to replace a working device immediately. We look at condition, performance, the exact installation and relevant manufacturer information. If replacement is needed, we confirm the current product’s suitability before including it in your repair plan.
Reliable power should come with a clear explanation
Stopping the handle from tripping is only part of the story. We want the repaired circuit to operate with the protection it needs. Repeatedly resetting it, raising the amperage or switching to a standard breaker can overlook the reason it is operating in the first place.
Live Wire explains the findings, recommended work and price before you approve the repair. We also discuss any interruption needed to do the work and check operation afterward. If a circuit change would better support your appliances or room layout, we can help you understand that option too.
Request help without having to open the panel
Tell us what loses power, when you first noticed it and whether anything was recently installed. Existing photos and invoices can be useful; there is no need to remove covers to find a model number. We handle the equipment inspection.
Our Lynnwood-based crew helps with small repairs as well as planned home improvements. Share what dependable power would make easier in your household, and we will help you take the next step toward a safer, brighter home.

Request ServiceCommon questions
Will a newer Homeline breaker solve the problem?
Only if the breaker is the cause and the replacement is appropriate. A newer device can still trip in response to a wiring or equipment problem, which is why we diagnose first.
What replaces HOM120PDF?
Schneider lists HOM120PAFGF for that dual-function replacement path. We confirm it against your exact panel and circuit before recommending the work.
What replaces HOM120PCAFI?
Schneider lists HOM120PAF. That AFCI transition is separate from the dual-function AFCI/GFCI models, and we check which protection your home needs.
Do I need to buy the breaker before booking?
No. Let us identify the equipment and cause of the trips first. That helps avoid an unsuitable purchase and keeps the repair focused on the actual problem.
