We make plugging in fit your normal parking
Tell us where you usually leave the vehicle and how you use the garage or driveway. We look at the charge-port position, cable reach, door movement and the path you take into the house. The most convenient electrical route may not put the charger in the most convenient place, so we consider both.
For an outdoor installation, we review the supported equipment arrangement, exposure and cable storage. Keeping the connection easy to reach and the walking route clear matters on wet evenings as much as dry ones. We explain the mounting options before the installation route is priced.
Choose Classic for the features you will use
Emporia presents Classic as a current choice alongside Pro. Classic can be a useful starting point when your goal is everyday Level 2 charging with the appropriate circuit and setup. We confirm the exact connector version and supported arrangement for your vehicle, including another household EV if it will share the charger.
We also ask how much you drive and how long the car normally stays parked. That helps us explain a suitable installed charging rate. The equipment's maximum capability is only part of the picture; the electrical design and the vehicle's charging limit also determine what you can use.
We inspect the electrical supply before installation
We review the service, panel, circuit route and existing loads to establish the work your home needs. If you hope to use an existing outlet, we check whether the exact charger configuration supports it and inspect the circuit and receptacle condition. A familiar plug shape is not a complete electrical assessment.
For hardwired work or a new circuit, we explain the route, access and mounting requirements. If an issue with the existing electrical equipment needs attention, we identify it clearly. You can then understand the installation scope before deciding whether to buy the charger or proceed with the work.
Add PowerSmart only when it serves your goal
Classic does not automatically include a complete managed-charging system. Emporia describes a supported paid PowerSmart upgrade with the required Vue monitoring and setup. If you need charging to respond to household demand, we compare that complete scope with the Pro package.
We keep scheduling and capacity management clear. Choosing when to charge is different from adjusting charging around measured household loads. We explain what each feature does for you, which equipment is needed and whether the additional work is useful for the way you drive and use the home.

Wiring distance, access, mounting, circuit condition and any service corrections can change installation cost. We identify charger supply and optional management equipment so the full scope is easy to compare. We also discuss setup and the information you need to use the charging installation comfortably.

Request ServiceCommon questions
Is Emporia Classic an older discontinued product?
Emporia currently presents Classic alongside Pro. We confirm the exact product and supply for your installation, then help you compare the base charging scope with any management features you may need.
Can you install it on my existing 14-50 outlet?
We first check the supported charger configuration and inspect the receptacle, circuit and electrical capacity. Reuse is a project-specific decision; an outlet being present does not by itself make it suitable for ongoing EV charging.
Does Classic come with PowerSmart?
The base Classic installation should not be assumed to include it. Emporia describes a supported paid upgrade with compatible monitoring and activation. We identify those items separately if managed charging is part of your plan.
How do I choose between Classic and Pro?
We compare the complete installation for your needs. Classic may suit straightforward charging; Pro includes the supported Vue 3 and PowerSmart package. We explain the relevant equipment, setup and electrical work for each.
