Plug in at home. Get on with your evening. · Live Wire Electric

Tesla Universal Wall Connector installation for easier home charging

Getting home should mean you can plug in and turn your attention to dinner, family or a quiet evening. Live Wire Electric installs Tesla Universal Wall Connectors with that everyday convenience in mind, including households that use different vehicle connectors.

Our licensed electricians help you choose a useful mounting location, check your electrical capacity and set up an appropriate charging circuit. We explain the work clearly so you know what to expect from the charger and how it will fit your King or Snohomish County home.

A charging location planned around your normal parking

We plan charging around your driveway or garage

Where you park matters as much as where the panel sits. We look at the charge-port position, the direction you normally park and the space you need for doors, storage and walking. If two vehicles will use one charger, we check both positions before choosing the mounting spot.

For outdoor parking, we consider cable storage, exposure and a practical route from the house to the vehicle. On a wet evening, you want plugging in to feel straightforward. We plan the installation around the supported equipment requirements and the way you actually move through the space.

Make connector flexibility work for your household

Universal Wall Connector combines a NACS connection with an integrated J1772 adapter. That can be helpful if your household has supported vehicles using both connector types, or if a future vehicle may differ from the one you own now. We confirm the actual vehicle make, model and year before planning around compatibility.

We also explain the difference from the standard NACS Wall Connector. The right choice depends on the vehicles you expect to charge and how you want to use the parking area. You should not have to buy extra flexibility you do not need or overlook a useful feature for a mixed-vehicle household.

Choose a charging rate that meets your day

We ask how far you drive and how long the vehicle normally stays parked. Then we review the electrical service, panel and route for the new circuit. The installed charging limit must suit that design, while the vehicle's own AC charging capability can also limit the rate.

Tesla lists up to 48 amps and 11.5 kW for the equipment, but your installation may appropriately use a lower setting. We explain what that means for your routine. If capacity is tight, we can discuss the relevant supported management option or electrical work rather than assume every home needs the same solution.

Keep extra features connected to a real need

A single charger, a group of chargers and a vehicle-to-home backup system are different projects. We can discuss Tesla Dynamic Power Management for a supported single-charger design or Group Power Management when multiple supported Wall Connectors will share charging capacity.

Powershare requires its own eligible vehicle, home equipment and confirmed commissioning path. Installing a Universal Wall Connector alone does not create home backup. If outage support is part of your goal, we explain that separate assessment so the charging quote does not imply capabilities it does not include.

We make installation and handoff clear

Your scope identifies the charger, circuit work, wiring route, mounting and any service changes. Distance, access and wall finishes can affect cost, and we explain those details before work proceeds. We also discuss the configuration and account handoff you need to use the charger comfortably.

To get started with Live Wire, send your vehicle details, address and photos of the closed panel and parking space. Let us know about solar, a generator, a home battery or plans for another EV. Those details help us build a charging installation that suits both your home and your next morning.

Common questions

Can this charge both a Tesla and a J1772 vehicle?

Universal Wall Connector includes NACS and an integrated J1772 adapter. We confirm the supported arrangement for your exact vehicles and plan the cable reach and parking layout so sharing the charger is practical.

Will my installation charge at the maximum rate?

That depends on the available electrical capacity, the installed circuit and your vehicle. We choose the appropriate setting and explain how it relates to your driving and parking routine.

Can one charger reach two parking spaces?

We can review the layout. The charge-port locations, normal parking direction and cable route determine whether one location works conveniently for both vehicles. We avoid building the plan around a stretched cable or obstructed walkway.

Does this installation include home backup?

Ordinary charging does not include Powershare. We can discuss backup goals separately and check vehicle eligibility, required home equipment and commissioning access before any backup installation is offered.
