We make charging convenient where you already park
The charger location should suit your vehicle, not force a new parking routine. We look at the charge port, cable reach and the way you use the garage or driveway. Doors, storage and walking paths all help determine a location you will be comfortable using every day.
For outdoor parking, we review the supported mounting requirements, exposure and cable storage. A practical arrangement makes it easier to plug in on a wet evening without leaving the cable across the route into your home. We explain the wiring and mounting choices together so convenience and installation scope stay connected.
Choose the right PowerUp 2 connection
GM provides separate J1772 and NACS versions and documentation. We confirm your vehicle's native port and supported charging arrangement before specifying the equipment. If another vehicle will use the charger, we include its details in that review too.
We identify the exact version in the quote rather than assume the cables or configurations can be exchanged later. This keeps the purchase straightforward and avoids building the electrical work around the wrong equipment. Your vehicle make, model and year are useful information for the first conversation.
Set a charging rate around your routine
PowerUp 2 is listed at up to 11.5 kW and 48 amps, with the actual result depending on the vehicle and installation. We ask about driving distance and usual parking time, then review the electrical service, panel condition and other household loads.
A spare breaker position or nearby outlet does not prove that capacity is available. We establish the supported circuit and setting and explain how it serves your charging needs. If additional electrical work is necessary, you will know why it is part of the project and what it changes for the home.
Resolve any home-backup goal before buying
PowerUp 2 provides everyday charging and is not compatible with the GM V2H Enablement Kit. If your longer-term goal is to use an eligible GM vehicle for home backup, we discuss the supported PowerShift path and the additional home equipment and commissioning requirements separately.
That distinction matters at the purchasing stage. We can help you compare charging convenience now with the work a future backup system would require. We do not present PowerUp 2 as a charger that becomes V2H-capable simply by adding the Enablement Kit later.
We include setup in a clear installation plan
Your scope identifies charger supply, the circuit route, mounting, electrical changes and supported configuration. Access, wiring distance and existing equipment condition can affect the cost. We explain those items before the work and discuss the account handoff, including the applicable registration through the vehicle mobile app.

Request ServiceCommon questions
Should I buy J1772 or NACS?
We check your exact vehicle and its supported connection arrangement before specifying the PowerUp 2 version. If the charger will serve more than one vehicle, include those details so the choice fits your household.
Will my car charge at 11.5 kW?
That is the published equipment maximum, not a guaranteed rate for every vehicle. The car's onboard charging limit and the installed circuit setting determine what you can use. We explain the appropriate design.
Can PowerUp 2 power the house during an outage?
No. It is unidirectional charging equipment and is not compatible with the V2H Enablement Kit. We can discuss the separate supported PowerShift and eligible-vehicle backup path if that is your goal.
Does app registration replace electrical setup?
No. Registration is part of a useful account handoff after the physical installation and supported configuration. We explain both the electrical work and the steps needed to use the charger in the applicable app.
